My first degree is in medicine, and I trained as a doctor and worked in a hospital before moving on to complete an MBA and then, PhD in Management. I have worked in a hospital (doctor), a secondary healthcare organization (operational management) and in medical and healthcare publishing (editorial and general management), before working as a Lecturer at Massey University. Besides lecturing, I am also involved in facilitating leadership and career development workshops and programmes at Massey. My research interests are broad and in the areas of leadership; health; telehealth; developmental practices such as mentoring and sponsoring; diversity; equity; intersectionality; and wellbeing in the workplace.
