Chief Executive Officer
School of AviationAshok Poduval is currently the CEO of Massey University School of Aviation, New Zealand. He has been a training captain with Indian Airlines and Gulf Air on B-737 and A-320 aircraft, has over 12,500 hours of airline jet flying experience, and holds a current New Zealand Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence, as well as ATP licences from India, Oman and Canada.
Ashok has held the positions of Manager Human Factors Program, Head of Human Resources & Corporate Training and Development with Gulf Air, in Bahrain, over a number of years, and was also the Director of Flight Operations and Safety Services with IATA based at Montreal for four years. He has written and presented a number of papers on aviation operations, training and safety at various international conferences, and has been on numerous IATA and ICAO technical panels and working groups
Ashok has tertiary qualifications in business administration and aeronautics, a Master of Management degree from Massey University, and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, UK. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors, New Zealand.
Ashok Poduval is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Massey University School of Aviation in New Zealand. He has a wealth of aviation industry experience, with over 12,000 hours of airline jet flying experience as a training captain on A320 and B737 aircraft and holds a current New Zealand ATP and Instrument rating. He has held various senior management positions in Gulf Air, and was the Director of Flight Operations and Safety Services with IATA for a number of years.
