Dr Supo Owoeye
Senior Lecturer in Law
School of AccountancyOlasupo (Supo) Owoeye is a law academic with expertise in International Intellectual Property Law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Ibadan and a PhD in Law from the University of Tasmania. He is admitted to the legal profession in Nigeria, New Zealand and Australia. He is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Massey Business School. He previously taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Tasmania; the RMIT International University, Vietnam; the University of South Australia, Adelaide; RMIT University, Melbourne and CQUniversity Australia. He was also a Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Augsburg, Germany, the Catholic University of Lyon, France. and SOAS University of London in 2015 and 2023. He is an Adjunct Law Professor at Lead City University, Nigeria. He was also a Stipendiary Researcher at the Max Plack Institute for Innovation and Competition Law, Munich in 2023/2024.
Supo Owoeye is the author of Intellectual Property and Access to Medicines in Africa: A Regional Framework for Access (Routledge, Oxfordshire; 2019). He has published extensively in different highly ranked refereed international journals in addition to other research outputs. He has also been a resource person for different institutions and inter-governmental organisations including the World Health Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation.
