Jessica Tappin BA

Senior Tutor

School of Psychology

My research interests lie in the overlapping and broad areas of critical health psychology, gender, sexuality, feminism, and critical media studies. I use qualitative research methods to understand the socio-cultural and socio-political context in which we exist. I use feminist poststructural theory within my PhD research to examine the discursive landscape of women’s sexual desire within media and psychological literature, including how prevalent discourses shape women’s opportunity for sexual subjectivity and agency.
